Our December 13
KWARC meeting turned out to be a big success with over 50 club members attending the
evening festivities. The favorite event was entertainment from the "Ham Band"
consisting of VE3AMZ John on the piano, Gerry VE3DYY on the sax, Rich VE3DCC on the horn,
and a future new ham, Mark Sasiela filling in bass guitar. The evening also included a
friendly swap night and social time allowing amateurs to chat and catch up on local gossip
and eyeball QSO’s. The highlight also included a variety of munchies brought by all,
and that table seemed to be the most popular area throughout the evening. Not
many were counting calories that night. The evening 50/50 draw was won by
your truly, a nice treat just before Christmas.
Our business portion was kept short, and
included, president Dave Johnson VA3MRJ extending best seasons wishes to all members.
