I
have had the privilege of being involved with other organizations such as
Rotary, The local Flying Club and Power Squadron but I have never seen a
club that has more enthusiastic volunteers than The Kitchener Waterloo
Amateur Radio Club. This was very evident by the success of our “ Open
House” hosted by our club
last meeting.. The quantity and quality of the members that participated
in this event was outstanding. The success of the Open House can be
measured not only by the number of visitors and potential new amateurs but
by the quality of the event. Thank you to everyone and keep up the
excellent work.
Spring
is just around the corner. You can tell by the beginning of the Hamfests
and Fleamarkets. This is part of our hobby that should not be missed. If
you have not been to one or haven’t gone in awhile, why not get together
with several other members and go down together. Having coffee and
breakfast together, driving back and forth and bragging about your great
bargain is great fellowship. I look forward to meeting some of you at the
next one.
