The North Shore Amateur Radio Club of Oshawa, Ontario will be operating a Special Event station from
Camp X Intrepid Park in Whitby, Ontario, Canada, on May 6, 7, and Camp X, also known as 25-1-1, Special Training School - # 103 (STS-103) and Project-J, was established in 1941 by (Sir) William Stephenson of the British Security Co-ordination (BSC) as the first spy training camp in North America. Located on a 275 acre parcel of land on the shores of Lake Ontario and on the border of Oshawa and Whitby, the Camp was responsible for training recruits for the Special Operations Executive (SOE), a branch of the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS). Camp X was where 'agents' trained before being parachuted into Nazi occupied territory to not only lead the resistance movement, but to provide valuable information to invading Allied Armies.
Camp X was administered by British Security Co-ordination under the leadership of Sir William Stephenson, known as Intrepid. An integral part of
Camp X was Hydra, the top secret radio transmitting building that received data from all around the world.
