At our May 1 meeting,
KWARC members had an opportunity to see radio control technology from the
early experimental days to modern digital and multi channel control units.
Hugh started the presentation with displays and explanations on how radio
control units first were coupled to airplane control surfaces. He also
brought his personal collection of home made remote controls. Hugh
explained how he became involved with testing commercially manufactured
units to perfect the control of remote model airplanes.
Our thanks to both Hugh
and Tedd for showing the members a glimpse into the past, as well as the
newest radio controlling features available to day. Great Job Article by VA3BNY Ben Checkout
