Severe Weather Ahead??

This
caption will be heard by many during the coming summer, and as amateur
radio operators, we are in an excellent position to assist during storm
warning by observing and reporting abnormal conditions.
For
our June 5 2000 meeting, we will be treated to a mini refresher course on
weather spotting and reporting.
Our
guest speaker is a member of Environment Canada. Randy Mawson VE3TRW has been traveling across this province
lecturing all amateurs on weather reporting in preparation for severe
summer weather conditions. He is coming to our meeting to review
procedures and methods that amateurs should use when reporting
observations. These final meetings before our summer break, will be a bit
longer to enable Randy to cover all procedures and answer any questions
from the members. All KWARC members should make every effort to attend
this meeting, as it will be the last opportunity to sharpen our skills
before the summer months.
Following
Randy’s presentation, we will have a short business meeting, and
conclude the evening with a final opportunity for eye-ball QSOs with
fellow members.
