Packet
Racket
by Larry Gorman VE3LGN

ve3lgn.jpg (3843 bytes)With thoughts of the potential for severe weather several members of the Packet Group have been refreshing their skills for direct station to station packet communications.

Experiences at Regional Waterloo emergency simulations, and the ARES Y2K watch have led us to believe that message storage capability and "hard copy" print outs are desirable.  They preclude misinterpretation, and would also give greater credibility to our service.

We will be discussing standby equipment needs, and the feasibility of the Group purchasing a few key pieces of equipment.

The Group has offered its monthly meeting place to the KWARC executive, which has recently become homeless.  Mary VE3MWE and Drew VE3AOR have graciously offered their home as the venue for our upcoming meetings.

Date and time to be announced
