September 11 The
NEW Restructured Amateur Radio Service. Rick Hergott of Industry
Canada will host an informal talk on policies affecting the new Family
Radio Service (FRS) , Frequency Auctions, Spectrum Redeployment,
Amateur Radio. This will be an open dialogue - so fire away Rick says.
The
Radio Detection of Meteors is an exciting new series of projects
developed by Phil Gebhardt of the Ontario DX Association. Anyone
with a shortwave receiver capable of receiving the amateur bands
will be able to participate by listening for radio signals reflected
off meteors in the atmosphere. Make your plans to join the fun and
become part of this experiment.
November 6 Presentation
By George Found of Grampa's Radio in Kitchener. George is well
known for restoring Antique Radio's and will provide some live demo's
(for you young people, they used
tubes)

Club Christmas Party Swap Night The World Famous Ham Band will perform
LIVE. This is our annual treat exchange, so bring a small portion
of your favourite treat to share with the members and sample some of the
other members treats. An don't forget to bring some goodies for
the Swap Table.
