Prior to his illness with ALS, Bud was a very active experimenter, home brewer and was truly in love with the hobby of Ham Radio. Bud was employed as a design engineer at Electrohome for 18 years, also the U of W Innovation Centre and Waterloo Metal Stampings. Bud was a member of the K- W Amateur Radio Club, K- W Flying Dutchmen Model Airplane Club, Model Boat Club and the K- W Power Squadron. Bud was a loving husband and companion for 48 years of Joanne (nee Allan) of St. Jacobs; dear father of Daniel of Saanichton, B. C. , Pam and her husband Darrell Pond of St. Jacobs; cherished grandfather of Justin, VE3JNP and Joshua Pond. Sadly missed by his sister, Persis and Ross Willis; niece, Roslyn Willis of London and nephew, Eric and Marion Willis of California. Predeceased by his parents, Hoyt and Elzora Remick (nee Bolt). As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, the ALS Society of Ontario or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family
