Industry Canada Examiner
Basic and Advanced Exam on your computer

Before we send you off to download this utility, make note of the following tip which is not documented on the web site.  The file is a self extracting zip file for Windows 95 or later, including ME.

When on the I/C web site and if you are using a MS Explorer browser click on the file download link, a window will open (see below). Select Save This Program to Disk  and then create a new directory where you want to save the file.  I suggest all applications go in your Program Files Directory and then create a new directory by clicking the New Directory button shown on the adjacent graphic and giving it a name such as IC EXAM.

Click save to start the download.  It's almost 2 megs.

Following the download click on Open File option and when you and see the following window .......

click the browse button and find the folder again that you just created otherwise it ends up being buried in your temp directory.

Netscape users will only be asked once where they want to save the file.  Make a new directory the same as above.

When it's all done you can place a shortcut on your desktop by finding the file with Windows Explorer, right clicking the file ICP.EXE. Select  Send To and the select Desktop (create shortcut).  this will place a Canadian Flag ICON on your desktop for an instant launch.

How much easier can we possibly make it for those wanting to pass the Exam??
