Well another fiscal year has started here at KWARC and we're in pretty good shape as you can see from the following table. There has been a spate of membership renewals, with a few more to come which offset the cost of sending a free copy of the bulletin to all area hams, which we do every few years.
And it's all due to you, the members.
I'd especially like to thank Paul VE3SY for a donation of $400. Paul took a gamble with his own money on some surplus connectors, made a tidy profit and generously donated a portion of these to the club. I'd also like to thank those who manned the club table at the hamfest - every bit helps. In addition, the income from the 50/50 draw just about exactly balances the rent we pay for the meeting room each month… keep buying those tickets!
With your continuing support we not only maintain the infrastructure we provide to our members but continue to enhance these services. That's why we were able to make both autopatches fully open. That's why we can contemplate new projects such as the replacement of the VE3KSR radio and controller to bring us into the new millennium (whenever you think that started).
On the subject of the removal of the patch fee: if you feel we should extend your membership a bit to compensate you for the period left on your subscription, let me know. However, we will also gratefully accept the donation of your remaining fee if you don't express a preference.
