The President's Report
by Dennis Tabbert VA3DLT president@kwarc.org

This year started off with record attendance at the first meeting. Ron Gravelle VA3TVS gave an excellent presentation. His topic was storm chasing and along with a video presentation, turned out to be a first class evening. The rest of the month turned out to be a bad month, everyone is mourning the WTC episode, and Paul Cassel (VE3SY) got hit by lightning just days ago shutting down both IRLP links, but knowing Paul, he will have it up and running in a few days.

Hopefully October will bring us some more pleasant news. The KSR repeater was hiccupping last week but all seems well now. The Auto patch works well and is open now. Our Auto patch agreement with Brantford will continue, Ben will give the details at the meeting. This month we will have the opportunity to have a field day presentation, hearing the exploits of Gord (VE3EOS) and Don (VE3ESE).

Congratulations to Colin Hayward and Jane Carr on passing their basic test. We look forward to hearing them on the air. Gord and Lynda are very proud that the whole family is now active licensed amateurs, and Dave is very proud his wife Jane now is on the air.

Hope to see you all Monday night.
