With the assistance of Dennis from Industry Canada, Doug VE3CHQ, and Harold VA3HF from the communications div. of the O.P.P., the interference to VE3KSR was fixed on Monday December 22nd.

The problem was originating at a commercial site in the Guelph area where the O.P.P. and the Highways Ministry share a site and antenna system.

Harold VA3HF reported to me that someone had installed a 5 Mhz. wide duplexer where there should have been a MULTI-COUPLER. As such, there was no attenuation of the 146.370 signal coming out of the system.

He has reinstalled the MULTI-COUPLER and removed the duplexer and promised to "hide" it so this cant happen again.

If there is any further problem of this type, please let me know. 73 John VE3AMZ KWARC Tech. Chairman. (retired form Bell Canada)
