Central Ontario Fleamarket Is On The Move
……by Bill Smith VE3WHS

After 15 or so years in Kitchener the Central Ontario Fleamarket and Hamfest is moving location and date. Due to rising costs and the inability to offer tailgating, your fleamarket committee has moved to a wonderful new facility at the Fergus & District Community Centre.

To be held on Saturday June 13th the new location is just a few minutes North of Guelph on Highway 6. The Fergus Community Centre will allow tailgaters as well as provide us an indoor facility second to none.

With the rising costs from Bingeman Park and the continued requirement for a $500 City of Kitchener licence, the co-chairmen Bill Smith VE3WHS from Guelph and Greg Hollinger VE3NXB from KWARC are already very busy organizing a greatly expanded Hamfest

Not only does the Fergus & District Community Centre provide a top-notch Fleamarket and Hamfest facility, it also features a beautifully treed camp ground located 100 yards from the fleamarket.

With the expanded facility and an intense advertising campaign already underway, additional help will be required by the committee so if you can assist in any way see Greg at the meeting or drop a packet or e-mail message off to Greg or myself.
