Kitchener-Waterloo ARC February 1998 The Kilowatter Newsletter

BACK TO MAIN MENU

Following many requests from club members for an up-to-date membership list, I am pleased to have been able to finally produce same which was mailed to non-web members in the snail-mail newsletter. Being out of town much of the month did not allow me the time towards this issue for which I appologize.

Beginners Class
The Beginners class is off to a great start with some 18 students hard at work learning the theory and regulations required to attain their Basic licence. Look forward to another bunch of fresh amateurs in early spring.

911 AUTO PATCH
Everyone is reminded that if you require to make a 911 simply dial 911. DO NOT DIAL THE ACCESS CODE FIRST. John VE3AMZ reports that this is necessary since the patch will always wait for 7 digits following the access code.

So once again….. for placing 911 calls on KSR or RCK just key the repeater and dial 911.
