THE VE3KSR - ULR LINK IS BACK UP

As mentioned at last months meeting Terry Darling VE3CAB and Frank Parsons VE3OFH were successful at installing a new ICOM 440 repeater for VE3BHR hub. This new repeater replaces the one damaged by lightening last summer.

Many KWARC members made regular use of the ULR linking system and are pleased to once again be able to make distant contacts via the hub system.

The London SORT group sent the following invitation to KWARC members to check into their Saturday evening net. I have reprinted a portion of the message received from the SORT Secretary.

KWARC members

For over a year now, the Southern Ontario Repeater Team (S.O.R.T.) has
been conducting an informal net on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. until
approximately 8:30 p.m. on our local London repeaters.

Prior to the Baden Hub repeater VE3BHR going down, we had a couple of
your KWARC club members regularly call up the link and join VE3KSR to
our system.

Now that the Baden Hub repeater is back on line, we didn't want to be
presumptuous and automatically link in VE3KSR, but instead invite your
members to call up the VE3BHR to VE3SUE link system and join our Saturday
evening net.

73s and hope to hear you Saturday evenings ....
Jim VE3CTS - Secretary Treasurer

KWARC will attempt to reprint ULR Link Info sheets for distribution at a future club meeting.
