I have made arrangements, with Linda MacSween, Unit Operations Specialist, NavCanada, to have a evening tour of the Waterloo Regional Airport Control Tower, in Breslau on Oct. 8 1998 from 6:30pm till 8:30pm. The controllers at the airport will welcome amateurs from our club to visit the tower and tour the communication facilities as well as being able to climb to the top and watch aircraft movement and listen to communications. All amateurs interested in seeing the control tower should meet at the airport parking lot next to the tower at 6:15 pm on this date. (I will be there)
Due to the limited space at the top of the tower, groups of amateurs will be escorted through the facilities. We will start at 6:30 pm. sharp. After the tour, you are welcomed to have a coffee at the airport club's lounge for some fellowship and QSO's.. The controllers would be pleased to see as many of our members come out to see there facilities and ask questions on communications and aircraft movement. We need to have some idea of those that would be interested in coming, so would ask that you send me a packet, e-mail, or voice message if you plan to come, either see me at the Oct. Club Meeting, or contact me at 748-0445 (leave message) or email va3bny@rac.ca
