Even though we have just started into the 1998- 1999 season, it is not to early for us to start discussing the election process at KWARC. As per our Bylaws, KWARC must present a slate of officers for nomination at the May meeting. As everyone can attest to, it is akin to pulling the proverbial Hens Teeth to find members willing to hold an Executive position within KWARC. To provide an insight into the job of each Directors position, I have asked each for a brief job description. The club bylaws lay out a high level description of these duties however I have requested each Director to expand on this with more detail including the amount of time required month-to-month. These job outlines will hopefully provide the membership to appreciate each position and hopefully make the job of the nominating committee easier. Each month, starting with this issue, KWARC will be publishing these job descriptions. This issue features the job of Treasurer from the eyes of Greg VE3NXB our current Treasurer. With a club membership of just under 200, we have a broad selection of qualified members to volunteer. Please give some serious thought of volunteering some of your time back to this great hobby. Believe me, it is a rewarding experience. I look forward to meeting everyone at the meeting Monday night 73
