Patch Codes
The new auto patch codes were changed on
VE3RCK Nov 4th. And shortly after by John VE3AMZ via phone on his return from the East
Coast.
New Antenna for
VE3KSR
For those members asking about Latest news
is that its scheduled to arrive before long as we are waiting for transportation to get
the antenna, from its existing site, to Kitchener. KSR is still working FB on the old
antenna that was fixed with new hard line.
ULR issue (from
Tedd VE3TJD)
About 2 weeks ago, the "hill" lost
power and KSR lost it's memory. After that we noticed that KSR wouldn't bring up BHR. We
tried going directly into BHR (447.075...131.8 tone) and still couldn't get the KSR-BHR
link up.
I powered down the link
electronics while I checked out KSR. Sure enough, the LED was lighting, so we thought the
problems was with the link setup. While up at the hill, I was chatting with AMZ on the
phone. We reset KSR, and entered all the default data into the controller. After turning
the power onto the link box, we tried to operate the link....IT WORKED...BOTH WAYS!
To make a long story even
longer.....everything is fine now. BHR will turn on KSR and visa-versa.
Update on ULR Codes
I spoke with a ULR rep at
the ULR table at the Newmarket Hamfest and purchased the latest code and info sheets on
the ULR system. We will reproduce the ULR info I received for our members and scan to post
on the web site secure mode for members only.
Thats all for now
