Elmira Repeater Back on the Air
by Craig Martin VA3ECM

I am sending you the new information about the Elmira Repeater. It is an OPEN repeater operated by the Elmira Amateur Radio Club and we encourage everyone to use it.

Specifications:

  • Frequency is 444.700 Mhz. (no PL)
  • VHF Engineering Model RPT 432
  • 10 watts power output
  • Diamond 510 2m - 70cm antenna
  • It is about 1300 feet above sea level
  • It is located in the SE corner of Elmira
  • Call sign is VE3EUC (this is in the process of being changed as the club is taking over from Ralph Brubacher and Wayne Pettie)

Reports on the repeater performance have been quite good since the move to the new location. It appears that all of K-W is now covered by it, though coverage reports from people would be a help in figuring out its new range.

Thank You
Craig Martin VA3ECM
