VE3DOS is the New ARES DEC K

Please join me in congratulating and thanking John Schreiter, VE3DOS. John Schreiter, VE3DOS, has been officially appointed DEC for what we are calling the Mid-Western Ontario ARES section. The area is Waterloo, Wellington, Grey, and Bruce counties. Included are Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford.

John's efforts have been noticed and appreciated as the KWARC ARES activities were set into motion. A definite visibility has been increasing with John's efforts. The recent Region of Waterloo emergency exercise help to reintroduce the Amateur Radio community to the emergency services activities in the Region.

The KWARC ARES EC appointment as John's replacement will be announced as soon as the paperwork has been done.
