"PREZ SEZ"

Welcome fellow amateurs to our 1999-2000 year. Our first general meeting of the year is coming up September 13 and I look forward to meeting everyone as your new President. The nice thing about being President of KWARC is the tremendous talent of the members, particularly the executive team. They makethe job easy because they have the experience and knowledge to help in every situation. We must extend a heartfelt thank   you to Paul Cassel, your outgoing President. Pauls commitment to KWARC will be evident for years to come and I know he will continue to help the new executive stay on track. Thanks Paul.

Amateur Radio is a hobby that has  grown and developed over the years through the volunteer efforts of the members of the hobby. How many times have you asked for advice, help with a project, even used a local repeater or viewed KWARC's web site ? Its your fellow amateurs and friends that keep helping and developing new ideas like our new weather site on Baden Hill. While I can't list all the volunteers since I don't know all of them, I would thank you on behalf of myself for all the work.

This leads to a request for a volunteer to head up the Kilowater, our official printed newsletter. Paul Cassel has been largely responsible for this newsletter and making sure it gets on the website but its time to ask someone to come forward and take over the printed newsletter. Paul has volunteered to continue the email version and assist the new editor with the printed version.

The club has hundreds of members many who rely on the mailed printed version of the Kilowater so its vital that the newsletter continues. If you can help out please contact myself or Paul and you too may contribute to our club and hobby and for that , we would all benefit and be grateful.
