The Waterloo Wellington Packet Users Group (WWPUG)
with the assistance of KWARC has installed a Peet Ultimeter 2000
automated weather station at the VE3KSR
APRS digipeater site on the Baden
hill located between Petersburg and Baden, Ontario. The data telemetry is beaconed on
the VHF APRS network where it is gatewayed to the internet, then received and decoded by a
process running on this server.
Dave Schwartz VA3DGS developed custom
software that is running on the KW-IGS server that IGS
donates for KWARC's use. Dave indicated that since this is a new installation, co-located
with several very powerful commercial transmitters they are experiencing RFI
problems that make the humidity reading seriously erratic. The group expect to correct
this situation in the near future
