The
"PREZ SEZ"

by Dave Johnson va3mrj@kwarc.org

VA3MRJI visted the Scout House on Frederick Street in Kitchener last weekend to observe the operation of the Amateur radio station set up by members of KWARC. First we must thank Linda and Gord for putting forth the idea and all the members who spent the day ereceting aerials and setting up equipment. From my observation the day was a total success. I sat in my mobile a block away and listened to 2 meter simplex, the Cubs and Scouts were on the radio enjoying themselves very much. No doubt we will attract future Hams with the expereince they gained in the Scout House.

Has everyone who is able checked out their licence status? Paul (VE3SY) pointed out to me that mine was in error as it failed to accurately show my qualifications. It took about 4 days and two emails to get it corrected so if yours is wrong be sure and set the record straight now before it becomes cast in stone.

The board is looking for input from members on the possible need and use of a station to be set up for those of us who cannot erect aerials at home. Please take a moment to complete the questionaire . We can also use input from any members who have ideas to get the club involved in other projects. We do have a little money available and are looking for any needs that are not currently being met so if you have a project in mind let us know.
