Christmas
The Meeting and Christmas Dinner

DECEMBER MEETING
Our December 13
(correct date) 1999 meeting theme will be a combination of social time and swap night. The date needed to be changed as a result of the 404 Wing double booking and we lost.   The 13th will put us closer to the festive period so it will make for more seasonal atmosphere.

Back by popular demand will be the Swap Night. You will have the opportunity to bring anything that you want to swap/sell/trade for Ham Bandsomething else you have no need for.

Once again we have booked "The Ham Band" to perform for us during the evening. The photo here was taken during last years performance.

We also want to remind everyone to bring Christmas treats, baking, or goodies to share during the evening pot luck snack table.
CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON
We will be selling tickets for the KWARC annual Christmas Luncheon Banquet which has been scheduled for December 17 1999, at the Transylvania Club starting at 12.00 noon till ??    Those that are planning to attend can pre purchase there tickets from Tedd Doda, VE3TJD, or myself Ben, VA3BNY during the meeting night. We need advance sales of tickets to book reservations for seating. Don't wait until Dec 17 to purchase at the door, we would not like to see anyone turned away for lack of seating space.

Don't forget the mistletoe!

JANUARY 2000 MEETING
ve3sy.jpg (5263 bytes)To start off our first KWARC meeting in the new millennium, we will be treated to the expertise of our club member, and past president, Paul Cassel, VE3SY.

In the age of digital information, web sites, and visual captures, Paul will utilize several media's to demonstrate and answer questions pertaining to our clubs web site, giving us a guided tour of the many areas of information that have been structured on this site, as well as a explanation of how the site is managed, and updated from his home office. We will be surfing that night projecting the images from the laptop to a Big screen.

As with many web sites, Paul has been able to customize and include animation effects, sound clips, and didgital images of events or activities. into our clubs web page,. Images are captured through the use of camcorders, and digital camera's, Come see and hear how anyone can modify, enhance, or create digital pictures, by comparing several commercially available software.,   Whether it be for creating your own web page, or just to send to family via the internet.

Hopefully, there will be no power interruptions, due to Y2K.

Tnx de Ben VA3BNY
KWARC Program Director
