Presidents Message

VA3MRJ Its my privilege as President of KWARC to be able to use this forum to speak to all members once a month in the Kilowatter. My message this month is to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and may the new millennium bring health and happiness to you and your family. May you enjoy the coming holiday with your friends and family.

I would also note the passing of long time club member Fred Hammond VE3HC. Fred was our first and only Honorary Member and flowers were sent on behalf of the club.

On behalf of all our family, I would like to express our appreciation for the flowers and many expressions of sympathy sent by KWARC members during Dad's illness and funeral.

What can we say???? The web page is fantastic. I read the notes in the guest book and feel both proud and humble.

Since Dad's stroke, the visits from local hams were undoubtedly the high point of the day. I was always amazed how Dad's spirits would rise and his mind would work again.

I can never replace Dad's dedication to the hobby of Amateur Radio, even though VE3EIL will some day be active again. We at Hammond Mfg will, however, continue to support Dad's passion for the museum and local ham projects.
